MaxIA is the new name of MonAI. Same app, same developer, same data on your phone: only the name changed.

Most answers are already in the app: Settings → Guide. There are eighteen step-by-step guides — connecting the AI key, importing a bank statement, setting budgets and goals, backups, the financial score, security — each one with screenshots.
You can also just ask the assistant: type “how do I import my bank statement?” and it opens the right guide.
Where is my data? Only on your phone. MaxIA has no server, requires no sign-up and creates no account. If you change phone, use Settings → Backup & export to take everything with you: the JSON file can be imported back in full.
I lost my data / I deleted the app. Without a backup there's no way to recover it, precisely because nothing goes through a server of ours. That's the flip side of the privacy: we recommend taking a backup now and then.
Does the AI assistant need a key? Not for the basics: the assistant answers questions about your data and records transactions even with no key and no connection. A Google Gemini key (free) is needed for freer answers and for importing PDFs. The guide to getting one is in Settings → Guide → Connecting the AI.
Does MaxIA cost anything? No. This version has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions: every feature, including those grouped under the name MaxIA Plus, is included.
How does it record the payments I make with my phone? With a Shortcuts automation you build once (Profile → Automatic payments — instructions and a video are inside). When you pay with Apple Pay, iOS runs a MaxIA action and hands it the date, amount and merchant: the transaction writes itself, on the phone. No bank connection, no card, nothing leaving the device.
Does my money go through the app? Never. MaxIA does not connect to your bank and does not move or invest money: it's a ledger, and you put the numbers in.
If something doesn't work, write to us with your iPhone model, your iOS version and your MaxIA version (at the bottom of Settings). A screenshot, if you can, saves us a lot of time.
